The Institute offers a four-year outcomes-based curriculum in Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science that equips students in the fundamentals of medical laboratory science.It trains students to be globally-competent in the performance of basic and advanced laboratory test procedures and analyses which aids in the screening, diagnosis, prevention and treatment, and maintenance of optimum health. The program also provides a profound training in scientific research, instrumentations, and community related activities.It consists of general education courses and professional courses like Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology and Clinical Parasitology, Clinical Microscopy, Hematology, Serology and Immunology, Immunohematology (Blood Banking), Histopathology, and Molecular Biology and Diagnostics.A comprehensive hospital internship program for one year in accredited training laboratories will be offered during the fourth-year level with weekly seminar updates for special topics and Medical Technology assessment program.We emphasize on teaching minds, touching hearts, and transforming lives.

Entrance Scholarship

The Entrance Scholarship is given to the incoming DLSMHSI undergraduate students who graduated with High / Highest Honors with at least 50 total number of graduating students and more during their senior high school.

Tuition Discount:
- 100% Tuition & Miscellaneous Fee Discount: Top 1 in the DLSMHSI Entrance Scholarship Qualifying Exam
- 100% Tuition Fee Discount: Top 2-10 in the DLSMHSI Entrance Scholarship Qualifying Exam
- 50% Tuition Fee Discount: Top 11-20 in the DLSMHSI Entrance Scholarship Qualifying Exam


Academic Scholarship

The Academic Scholarship is given to the DLSMHSI undergraduate students with a grade not lower than 85 in their subjects and with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 92% above during their stay in the institution / Has met the grade requirement set by College.

Tuition Discount: 30-100% Tuition Fee Discount


Financial Scholarship

The Financial Scholarship is given to the incoming DLSMHSI undergraduate students who are in need of financial assistance. Applicants are screened and evaluated based on the requirements submitted and through interview or house visitation by the Scholarship Committee. Approved Financial Scholars are required to render at least 50-100 hours of service as Office Assistant (depends on the tuition fee discount granted) as their return service.

Tuition Discount: 20-100% Tuition fee discount (depends on availability of budget)


Service Scholarship

The Service Scholarship is given to the DLSMHSI Officers of Institutional Student Council.

Tuition Discount:
- 30% Tuition fee discount: President, Institutional Student Council
- 25% Tuition fee discount: Other Officers of the Institutional Student Council
- 10% Tuition fee discount: Institutional Student Council / SHSSHS Student Council Legislative Assembly


Gawad Lasalyanong Edukasyon

The Gawad Lasalyanong Edukasyon is given to the incoming DLSMHSI undergraduate students who graduated from the biggest science schools with High / Highest Honors and who are also in need of financial assistance.

Tuition Discount: Full tuition including miscellaneous, special assessment, and other fees including book and uniform allowances, physical and other medical examinations required by the Institution.


City Government Recommended Scholars

The City Government Recommended Scholars is automatically given to the incoming DLSMHSI undergraduate students who are recommended by the Office of the Mayor of City of Dasmarinas.

Tuition Discount: 100% Total fees (50% shouldered by the City Government of Dasmarinas & 50% shouldered by the Institution).

Presidential Committee

The Presidential Committee undertakes responsibilities of overseeing the committees and project implementation of the CMLSSC, evincing leadership, and ensuring serendipity on disseminated duties.


Secretariat Committee

The Secretariat Committee manages documentation, takes meeting minutes, organizes records, handles correspondence, and coordinates meeting schedules and agendas. They also assist with council communications, ensure procedural rules are followed, and support other committees with
administrative tasks.

Academics Committee

The Academics Committee enhances the academic experience by addressing student concerns, advocating for needs, and improving resources. They organize workshops, tutoring, and lectures, work with faculty on policies, and gather student feedback to create a supportive learning environment.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee manages the budget, oversees fundraising, allocates funds, and ensures transparent financial reporting. They plan and monitor expenditures and prepare financial reports to support the council initiatives effectively.

Special Requirements: Create an example budget allocation plan sheet for a year-end party of our college thinking we only have 100,000 pesos budget for the event. List everything you think our college will need for the event and allocate the budget wisely.


Internals Committee

The Internal Activities Committee organizes and manages events to enhance campus life, including social gatherings and workshops. They facilitate internal communication, manage the budget, promote events, handle logistics, and recruit volunteers.

Special Requirements: In one PDF, create a sample event proposal for a 10th college anniversary with a title, theme, description, mood board (design ideas), and activity ideas. Keep it within 3 pages.


Externals Committee

The External Activities Committee takes you on a fun adventure into meeting new people outside DLSMHSI with a chance to communicate and work with different individuals as you search and source for partner organizations, sponsors, guest speakers, and performers in order to create remarkable events for the CMLS community.

Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee works to address and promote student issues and concerns. They campaign for student rights, raise awareness on important issues, and represent student interests to the administration and other stakeholders. This committee also organizes awareness programs and initiatives to drive positive change within the student community.


Operations Committee

The Operations Committee handles the logistical and operational aspects of council activities. They manage event setups, coordinate resources, and ensure smooth execution of projects and activities. This committee also develops and implements processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
in council operations.

Content

The Content Team under the Publicity Committee writes and creates text for promotional materials, including captions for social media and content for flyers and posters. They also oversee all work to ensure that information in publications and edits is accurate and consistent.

Documentation

The Documentation Team under the Publicity Committee ensures that significant moments are documented through photography and videography, creating a visual record of events for posting.

The Layout Team under the Publicity Committee ensures that all publicity materials are visually appealing, consistent with the council's branding, and effectively convey the intended message.

Where can I get a certified true copy of my Good Moral and/or Grades?
Answer:
You can obtain a Good Moral Certificate either in person or online through the Office of Student Affairs (TSA). For face-to-face transactions, visit the TSA window located on the first floor of the Lourdes Campos Building. For online requests, please email your details (name, college, year, and section) to [email protected]. The fee for the Good Moral Certificate ranges from 100.00 to 150.00 PHP.

For Certified True Copies of Grades, please visit the Registrar's Office located on the first floor, left wing of the Wang Building. This document is available for a fee starting at 180.00 PHP and is only accessible through in-person transactions.

Where can I inquire about changing units?
Answer:
For changing units, please first consult with your respective class advisers to discuss the reasons for the change. Your class adviser will guide you through the process, including connecting you with your department’s chair level representatives, who will assist with the necessary steps. Make sure to prepare any supporting documents or explanations that may be required to justify the unit change. Once the request is approved at the department level, further coordination with the Registrar's Office may be needed to finalize the adjustment to your academic load.

How, when, and where can I get the Dean’s signature for official documents?
Answer:
To obtain the dean’s signature, please coordinate with our College Secretary, Ma'am Christine Joy Villarta (Ma'am CJ), who is located at the College of Medical Laboratory Science office on the 3rd floor of the Lourdes Campos Building. Please be informed that all documents requiring the signature of the Dean or Vice Dean must be submitted physically to the office. Signatories typically require a processing time of 24 hours or more, depending on the availability of the concerned officials.

To ensure a smooth process, it’s recommended to submit your documents well in advance of any deadlines. For urgent matters, you may follow up with Ma'am CJ or her team to check the status of your request. Additionally, be prepared to provide any supplementary information or documentation that may expedite the process. Once the documents are signed, you will be notified when they are ready for collection.

Where is the College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) office located?
Answer:
The College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) Office is available from Monday to Saturday, between 8 AM and 5 PM on regular working days. Additionally, the CMLS Student Council Office is located in the same area, making it convenient for students to access both administrative services and student council resources in one visit. Whether you need assistance with academic matters or want to engage in student council activities, both offices are here to support your needs.

What are the grade requirements for Latin honors?
Answer:
Students who have maintained exceptionally high academic standing based on their GPA shall be recommended for Academic Honors. The GPA of a graduating student refers to his cumulative GPA. The following cumulative GPA requirements shall apply to students graduating with honors:
Baccalaureate, Post-Baccalaureate:
- Cum Laude – 3.00 to 3.24
- Magna Cum Laude – 3.25 to 3.49
- Summa Cum Laude – 3.50 or better
Other requirements:
- Must have finished the course in the required number of years
- Must not have an incomplete or failing grade in any subject
- Must not have a grade below 1.50 in any academic subject
- Must not have any major disciplinary offense
Medals are prepared by The Registrar to be awarded on graduation day.

College Honors List:

What kinds of facilities and resources do you have?
Answer:
The College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) offers a robust academic program that integrates general education courses with specialized professional courses such as Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology and Clinical Parasitology, Clinical Microscopy, Hematology, Serology and Immunology, Immunohematology (Blood Banking), Histopathology, and Molecular Biology and Diagnostics. These courses are designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the field and prepare them for real-world applications.

In addition to the academic curriculum, CMLS provides a comprehensive one-year hospital internship program during the fourth year. This internship is conducted in accredited training laboratories and includes weekly seminars on special topics, along with a Medical Technology assessment program to ensure that students are well-prepared for their future careers.

The college also offers state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, equipped with the latest technology and tools necessary for hands-on learning and research. These laboratories provide students with practical experience in various areas of medical laboratory science, ensuring they gain the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the profession.
